FRESHIE!!!

So this year I finally graduated in Elementary. Hurrah! Hurrah! and all that stuff. I was so thrilled that I will finally be older than most of the kids in my school and I will be viewed as one of the "Upperclassmen" only to find out that I will be transferring to a High School especially for the smartest in North and South of our island. At first, I was so mad and sad at my parents because they wanted me to go there just because there are no tuition fees and they give you a stipend depending on your type of scholarship.

Yes, that's right. Scholar. I am a scholar. Which means that I shouldn't get a grade below 2.5. Right now, I don't think I'd survive. It's just the second week and I think I already had approx. 3 quizzes, a lot of exercises, and tons of activities. God help me. And the school is so far away from my house! I have to ride twice because my dad just refuses to drive me to school and technically, he always goes to field assignments so I guess he has the right to say no. But there's still a dilemma. The school uniform is just plain ugly. No offense to the school, but the uniform looks like a tablecloth.

I really want to go back to my old school but to do that, my family has to pay a ton of money just because I refuse to continue to study there. And there's the tuition fee of my old school. It's about P50,000 per year. I know. Still in high school but paying for the tuition of a college student.

Technically, I want to be successful. And this school will lead me to that. So what will I choose? My old friends, school, school families and happiness; or success, my new friends, and the happiness of my family?
