My Last Full Week in the Philippines Day 2

What a relaxing day. Technically it wasn't supposed to be, but that's how it happened.

On the itinerary, today and tomorrow were allocated for registration. It's almost election season and after all that we've experienced, my mom and I decided it was time for us to be more proactive with voting. I know, I know. How shameful that only now did we decide to exercise our right to vote. We could've been that one extra vote a candidate needed to win but we didn't try harder to register. Sorry!!! The truth is... now this is gonna sound really privileged and you are welcome to kick my butt about it... I was too lazy to register back when I was eligible to vote. I KNOW. Huge mistake. Big time. That's why I hope we can register properly tomorrow. Why not today? We woke up too late. My mom is also too busy with work and she couldn't fully concentrate on the requirements so I, resident tamad, had to put extra effort to get it done. No worries, the papers have been printed.

Today we also celebrated Tito Jonathan's birthday. Tito Jonathan is one half of the couple that was an immense help to us during our time of need. He and Tita Thelma sent us food, advice, and even offered us shelter when we were too broken and sad to go back home. We owe them a whole lot and today I was happy to celebrate his birth. Oh yeah! They even gave me some jackets, scarves, and hats to wear in Spain! I'm really truly grateful.

Today we had pancit, a bit of cake, and my current favorite pizza: Spinach dip from Angel's Pizza. God, I thank you for sending this recipe to the brain of the owners, the world needed it. THANK YOU!!! Everyone also prayed for me and I'm so thankful because God knows I'm gonna need it.

I did some more data gathering for my thesis (yeah... yeah.), set a reservation for my advance birthday party, and yeah. It was truly a relaxing day. There's not much more of these days until I have to leave but good Lord. I can't wait to go to Spain!!!
